Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were served to a high standard, and Sharon made us feel more than welcome. However, the room was a bit cold despite the heating being on. I would definitely return and recommend it to others.
I had a lovely stay at The Ashcroft. The hotel is conveniently located near Peasholm Park, making it easy to explore the town. The rooms were cozy but a bit small, and the bathrooms could use some updating. The service was outstanding, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The dining experience was delicious, with top-quality meals served attentively. However, some meat and fish dishes could be added to the menu. Overall, a great value for a pleasant stay.
The hotel offers a lovely stay for exploring SOAT, Peasholm Park, and the quieter North Bay. The rooms are cozy with comfy beds, perfect for a peaceful night's sleep. The service is exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience. The location is convenient, close to the beach and within walking distance of various attractions. The dining experience is satisfying, complemented by a generous breakfast. Overall, a great value for a memorable stay.
The hotel had a convenient location for exploring, with easy access to the town center and the seafront. The rooms were smaller than expected but clean and cozy, and the service provided was exceptional. The dining experience offered a variety of well-presented options. A great stay overall with some room for improvement in room size.
The deluxe room I stayed in for three nights over the new year was quite small, around 10ft x 10ft, which was a bit disappointing considering the price paid. On the bright side, it had the essentials like tea and coffee facilities. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always eager to make my stay enjoyable, which really set a positive tone for my mornings. The hotel's location was perfect for my trip, being in a quieter area of town but still within walking distance to Peasholm Park, the North beach, and even the cricket ground. The dining experience, with breakfast waiting downstairs every morning, kept me fueled throughout the day, although it was overshadowed by the overall cleanliness of the property and the warm welcome from the owners. Unfortunately, the room size and the lack of spaciousness in the deluxe room for the price paid were a downside, but I could overlook that due to the exceptional service and location of the hotel.
